    1. The GBTI Mash 50th Anniversary Photo Contest will start on Wednesday February 5th at 8am and end on Friday February 21st at 5pm.
    2. Entrants to the competition would have to upload an image of themselves in front of the I love Guyana sign on Instagram and Facebook and state why they love Guyana. They also need to use the hashtags #GBTI #Iloveguyana for a chance to win a $50 USD prize.
    3. There will be 10 Winners. The Winners will be chosen based on the most likes and shares of their image. Contestants will need to ensure their privacy settings are set to public in order for GBTI to view their photos and determine a winner.
    4. The winners will be announced on Wednesday February 26th on GBTI’s Facebook page
    5. The winners must collect their prizes within 5 days of being contacted or their prize will be reassigned. For existing customers the prize will be credited to their account or card. New customers will receive a GBTI VISA Debit card.
    6. Employees of GBTI affiliate agencies and their immediate family are not eligible to enter this contest
    7. This promotion is open to all legal account holders of Facebook and Instagram accounts.
    8. GBTI reserves all rights in the management of the GBTI Mash 50th Anniversary Photo/Video Contest
    9. Term & Conditions Regarding Entry
      1. Contestants acknowledge that compliance with the rules set out above including all eligibility requirements is a necessary pre-condition to any prizes in this contest being awarded to them. Contestants who have not complied with these rules are subject to disqualification.
      2. b) GBTI, reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend this contest at any time, if fraud, technical failures, including any network server or hardware failure, viruses, bugs, errors in programming, or any other errors or other causes beyond the control of GBTI, corrupt the administration, security, integrity or proper running of the contest. In such cases GBTI will inform contestants of such cancellation, modifications or suspensions of the promotion via notifications on the fan page.
      3. c) GBTI does not warrant that access to or use of any third party’s website will be uninterrupted or free of any of the events stated below, due to the nature of internet services and electronic communications. GBTI is not responsible for any problems that may arise, including but not limited to:
      4. Lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, or other connection, availability or accessibility problems arising in connection with or over the course of the contest; or
      5. Communications failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions or hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or
      6. Failure of personal computers and/or software and hardware configurations, any technical malfunctions, failures, or difficulties, printing errors, clerical, typographical or other error in the offering or announcement of the prizes or in the prize notification; or
      7. For any errors of any kind in connection with the promotion, whether human, mechanical, clerical, electronic, or technical in nature; or
      8. The incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information in connection with the promotion; or
      9. Any of the above arising from the actions or omissions of any third parties in relation to any aspect of the contest or the usage of any third party websites which are not under the control or operated fully by GBTI
  1. Personal data will be collected by GBTI and will be processed and protected in accordance with these terms and conditions and our Privacy Policy, which is published on GBTI’s website. By participating in the Promotion the participant agrees (and when sharing third party personal data guarantees that the relevant third party agrees) with the aforementioned processing of personal data by GBTI.
  2. Any attempt by a contestant or other individual to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the contest, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws in the countries where the promotion is being run. Should such an attempt be made, GBTI reserves the right to seek remedies and damages from any such individual, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution
  3. Participants engaging in any of the foregoing activities in (9) and (10) may be disqualified and will forfeit any prizes won
  4. In no event will GBTI be liable for more than the relevant prizes available under the contest
  5. In the event of any conflict with any promotion details contained in these rules and conditions and promotion details contained in point of sale, television and print, advertising, promotional packaging and other promotional media, (“Promotional Materials”) the details of the promotion set forth in these Rules and Conditions shall prevail
  6. To the extent permitted by law, GBTI excludes all liability for loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any participant under this promotion.
  7. The terms and conditions, the promotion and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by the laws of Guyana and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Guyana.
  8. GBTI does not warrant that access to or use of the GBTI’s service will be uninterrupted or free of any of the events stated below, due to the nature of computer and wireless communications.
  9. GBTI reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend this promotion at any time, if fraud, technical failures, including any network server or hardware failure, viruses, bugs, errors in programming, or any other errors or other causes beyond the control of GBTI corrupt the administration, security, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion.
  10. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all matters relating to the competition, GBTI will decide on the winners shall be the final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  11. GBTI reserves the right of disqualifying any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the rule associated with this contest
  12. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these terms and conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these terms and conditions shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. GBTI’s employees are not authorized to waive, modify or amend any provision or provisions of these terms and conditions in any manner whatsoever.
  13. All entrants agree to take part in any promotional, marketing or publicity activities or events reasonably requested by GBTI and consent to the use and disclosure by GBTI in any form of media of their names, likenesses and/or general areas of residence without compensation or further reference.
