GBTI participates in Cancer Walk

The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI Ltd) participated in the Guyana Cancer Foundation’s annual Breast Cancer Awareness walk held on October 22nd, 2016. The walk which started at 6:00 hours started from Parade Ground and proceeded south into Waterloo Street, then into Church Street, and north along Irving Street, west on Lamaha Street, south on Camp Street and then west on Middle Street into Parade Ground.


GBTI Bursary Award Ceremony

The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI Ltd) on Wednesday 14th September, 2016 presented bursary awards to fifteen (15) members of the Early Savers Club who were successful at the recent National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).

GBTI Donates to President Granger's FIVE B's INITITATIVE

President David Granger’s Buses, Boats, Bicycles, Books and Breakfast (Five Bs) initiative, today, received another boost from the private sector when a bus was donated to the programme. The 30 seater Bus, which was donated by the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Ltd. (GBTI) was received by Minister of Social Cohesion, Ms. Amna Ally on behalf of President Granger at the bank’s Headquarters in High and Young Streets Kingston, Georgetown in the presence of the Chairman and directors of the Bank.

Mr. Robin Stoby, Chairman of GBTI he said that the bank has always supported this and similar programmes that are intended to nurture the younger generation. “Education is something which GBTI finds very important in the forward advancement of our society. We are committed to assist in whatever way we can in those institutions that require the kind of assistance that we can offer. We are happy to have made this gesture and we’re grateful for the way it is being accepted,” he said.


GBTI Donates to Guyana Foundation - Sunrise Centre

The Guyana foundation- Sunrise Centre recently benefited from a donation from the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Ltd (GBTI) to complete the outfitting of the Centre’s counselling room.

According to a press release from the Guyana Foundation, the items which included a desktop computer with printer and stabilizer, and office chair and a cheque to purchase a coffee table, were handed over to the Foundation by Ms Pamela Binda, Public Relations and Marketing Manager and were received by the Foundation’s Managing Director, Mr Anthony Autar at a brief ceremony at the Bank’s Corporate Office in Kingston.

Early Savers Summer Camp 2016

The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI Ltd) once again hosted its Annual Early Savers Summer Camp from 25th July to 29th July, 2016 at the Bank’s Recreational Centre, in Bel Air Park. This year’s Summer Camp was expanded to cater for two age groups; 7-10 years old for which sessions are conducted in the morning, and 11-15 years old for which afternoon sessions are conducted.
