GBTI’s Annual Donations And 2017 Calendar Launch

The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry Limited (GBTI Ltd) on Wednesday 7th December, 2017 at 15:30 hours at our Corporate Office in Kingston, held its Annual Donation and 2017 Calendar Launch ceremony.

Nine (9) non-governmental organisations were beneficiaries of this year’s donations, namely; Uncle Eddie’s Home, The Salvation Army, Help and Shelter Crisis Service, Dharam Shala Home for the Poor for all Races, Guyana Red Cross Society, Guyana Society for the Blind, Artistes in Direct Support, Guyana Relief Council and the Guyana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA). Ms Lynette Carter who accepted the donation on behalf of the Guyana Relief Council and who spoke for the receiving donor organisations expressed her sincere gratitude to the Bank for their kind gesture in supporting these organisations and the work they do.

GBTI recognises the work of these organisations and extends best wishes for the upcoming year.
Meanwhile, the Bank also launched its 2017 Calendar and showcased art pieces that are featured in this year’s calendar. The art pieces were adjudged winners from an art competition held among twenty-seven (27) schools across the ten (10) Administrative Regions. The theme for this year’s competition was “Ensuring Environmental Sustainability”.

3. Haymesha Persaud - 14 years old -Marian Academy
4. Aaron Gangadeen -12 years old- Skeldon Line Path Secondary School
5. Somita Paul - 16 years old - School of the Nations
6. Poonraj Lall -14 years old - Anna Regina Secondary School
