The GBTI Providence branch was opened on March 15, 2007. Located at the Buddy’s International Hotel, Providence, East Bank Demerara. It is the eighth GBTI branch in Guyana. The branch offers full banking services to households and businesses on the East Bank of Demerara and guests who stay at the hotel. These services include savings and checking accounts, foreign business transactions, Visa card facilities, night depository, and ATM.
The GBTI Providence Branch represents yet another step by the Bank in the systematic fulfillment of our mission to take banking services to communities across Guyana. The branch is well positioned to provide vital banking services, stimulate small business and support new investment, economic growth and job creation for the more than 50,000 residents and businesses of the East Bank corridor. The branch will continue the Bank’s established trend of community involvement and outreach to strengthen the relationship between GBTI and residents.
