The GBTI Lethem branch was declared opened on August, 23, 2006.  It is the seventh branch of the Bank and represents our commitment to take banking services to communities across Guyana. 

The strategic importance of Lethem and the need of residents for banking services prompted G. B. T. I. to establish operations out of rented premises.  These operations would be shifted to a permanent building that is soon to be constructed by the Bank.

The presence of this Bank, the first in Region 9, is expected to assist in accelerating development in the region, which is a vital corridor for trade with neighbouring Brazil and the rest of South America.
