Foreign Currency Accounts
These accounts are offered in US and Canadian Dollars and Pounds Sterling and are available to non-residents, local exporters and gold miners. However the local exporters and gold miners must obtain approval from the Bank of Guyana before such accounts can be opened. All deposits to these accounts must originate from an overseas source.
